Synching SharePoint calendars with outlook
One of the things which are most handy about SharePoint 3.0 is the ability to synch calendars up with outlook. This is a very simple task to perform.
You will need the following:
- Access to a SharePoint server - Microsoft Outlook installed on the computer you are connecting to the SharePoint server with - Sufficient rights to login to the SharePoint server
How to Add a SharePoint 3.0 Calendar to Outlook.
** Please note we are using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for the following example. It is also support in a similar way for Outlook 2003 **

Click on the Actions drop down tab, and then click Connect to Outlook.
You will then be prompted to click Advanced, yes or no to add the calendar to outlook. Click Yes.
You have now successfully added the calendar into Outlook. If you modify any settings on the calendar it will be updated on the SharePoint server and vice versa
